Memorial Benches for for Smudge & Jonesy

Craig is aiming to place two memorial benches to be sited in St John's Gardens, Liverpool City Centre, where the war memorial is located for the former Kings Regiment.

The benches will be dedicated to the memory of his two lost pals from the Recce Platoon of the 2nd Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, Smudge & Jonesy, and will be adorned with a commemorative plaque for each.  An application to Liverpool City Council will be made to gain approval for the benches and it is hoped that all, being well, the benches will be in place soon.

The benches will be purchased from an organisation called the  Pathway Workshop which employs disabled people who make garden furniture of all types.

Craig sees this as a way of putting something back in to an excellent employer who is focused on enhancing the skills of disabled people. To find out more about Pathway Workshop click on the bench above.
