As part of a long standing wish, Craig wanted to dedicate benches in memory of his pals and fallen comrades Adam Smith and Alan Jones. Liverpool City Council were approached and more than welcomed the request, offering to commission and site the benches at the location of The King's Regiment Memorial in St John's Gardens, Liverpool City Centre.

The benches were sited on either side of the memorial.

Each with an in scripted plaque

A service was arranged to bless the benches

A lone Piper played a lament

And a guard of honour was provided

Members of the King's Regiment Association attended along with family members and friends and the sun shone brightly in what was a significant day for all concerned to honour the memory of Adam & Alan.

Craig would like to thank Liverpool City Council for their support in making this happen and all who have contributed to The Freddie Fund on behalf of the benches.

Your City will not forget you

Kingsman Alan Joseph Jones of the 2nd Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment

"They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them."
