Freddie the Teddy is the official mascot of the "Freddie Fund". During Craig's time out in Basra, Freddie the Teddy was with him and the lads of Recce Platoon, 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

Following Craig's incident in Basra, we were inundated with messages from people wanting to contribute into a fund for Craig's welfare.  Whilst Craig really appreciates these gestures of support from you all, he has expressed that he would like any donations to be pooled into the fund he has set up called "The Freddie Fund", from which he can provide donations to organisations who support the families of, and wounded colleagues who have suffered in Iraq & Afghanistan as a result of operational deployment.

Some initial targets for "The Freddie Fund" are -

Memorial Benches (click to find out more)

Morale Boosting Parcels for the Troops (click to find out more)

Donations to St Dunstan's  (click to find out more)

"The Freddie Fund" is well on its way to achieving it's aims with the support and help of the following -

The members of the Independent Kings Regiment Association (IKRA) are raising money for the "Freddie Fund" through a series of events and badge selling activities. Many thanks to Simo, Coatsy and the committee for their support.

Network Rail staff in Crewe & London have been raising money with various events under the astute organisation of Gareth Hicks.

The management & staff of Thomas Loughlin Limited in Liverpool have also made a sizable contribution to the fund. Thanks to Helen's dad Ken Barnes.

The Management and Staff of Great Places for their large donation to the "Freddie Fund".

Simon Robinson of Great Places for his fund raising efforts & fantastic donation.

Friends at www.yellowribbon.org.uk are raising money to present a bench on Craig's behalf to Selly Oak's Alexandra Wing.

Roy Munnerly and the staff of Lockwoods (Liverpool) Limited are raising "Freddie Funds" with their weekly football ticket.

A great supporter & friend, Grahame Eckworth, is raising contributions from the sale on Ebay of the "Support Our Troops" Yellow Ribbon Pins.

And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has bought the badge.
