The Granada Interview Wednesday 27th June 2007 Craig and Steve met up with Granada News reporter Ashley Derricott at the physio clinic where Craig had an appointment. Ashley had clearance from the hospital to film and so it was that Craig's physio Laura was thrust into the limelight too! Following the appointment it was back to HQ with Ashley and Pete the camera man, where things were set up for the interview proper.
Craig and Ashley chatted extensively on camera but due to the limited amount of time available in the evening's Granada Reports schedule, most of it couldn't be aired.
Ashley had spent 5 days as an embedded reporter with Craig's battalion 2 LANCS earlier in the year so there was plenty to chat about with shared experiences, characters in the battalion and the like. It was interesting to here Ashley's experiences during his time there and definitely made the experience in front of the camera a more comfortable one.
